There are stereotypes that say that only men after the age of 40 develop erection problems. Nothing more wrong. Unfortunately, we live in constant stress, we do not have time for proper rest, we are constantly in a hurry and this translates very negatively into our sexual performance. According to research, erectile dysfunction affects in about 19% of cases people between the ages of 20-39. Thus, almost every 5th person suffering from erectile dysfunction is actually at the beginning of their path to true sexuality. The scary thing is that these numbers are constantly changing, and not for the better. More and more young men suffer from a lack of erection or problems related to the quantity and quality of sperm produced, and with age, more problems arise. Therefore, it is very important not to underestimate the problem and react while there is time for it.

Who is affected by erectile dysfunction?

As previously mentioned, problems with potency and general sexual performance affect men of different ages. It depends on individual predispositions. According to the statistics, the percentage balance is as follows:

  • 20-29 years –8%,
  • 30-39 years – 11%,
  • 40-49 years – 15%,
  • 50-59 years – 22%,
  • 60-69 years – 30%,
  • 70-75 years – 37%.

What are the causes of erectile dysfunction?

The causes of erectile dysfunction can be many. They are related to factors that we can influence, e.g. lifestyle, diet, physical activity. However, they can also be associated with factors that we have no influence on, e.g. chronic diseases. Below are the most common causes of erectile dysfunction:

Diseases that may be the cause are: atherosclerosis and blood vessel diseases, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia (excess cholesterol in the blood), thyroid disease, metabolic syndrome, depression and anxiety, hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency), multiple sclerosis, stroke, liver or kidney failure, lung disease, night apnea, Peyronie’s disease, spinal cord or pelvic trauma.

Drugs that can be the cause are: psychotropic, antihypertensive, hormonal and metabolic drugs, diuretics.

Erectile dysfunction can be a symptom of leading an unhealthy lifestyle: sedentary work, use of stimulants, problems with overweight, lack of privacy and intimacy, stress, fatigue, inadequate diet, complexes, too little self-confidence.

These are the main factors that have a significant impact on erectile dysfunction. To them, of course, you should also add age, because as you know, with age, the problems become more and more serious.

Treatment of erectile dysfunction

How to treat erectile dysfunction? First of all, we should make changes to our lives that will improve our comfort, allow for proper rest and relaxation. The next stage that can improve our quality of sexual life is the use of dietary supplements (VigraFast, SperMax Control) or drugs (with a substance called Sildenafil). At this point, it should be noted that the use of prescription drugs should be carried out with the consent of a doctor, because otherwise it may endanger our health. Therefore, at this stage, the most advantageous solution may be the use of dietary supplements that are available without a prescription. Usually these are potency pills that are based on natural ingredients. In many cases, this form of therapy turns out to be very effective and thanks to this, there is no need for further consultation with a doctor or surgical procedures. If the methods presented above do not cause the expected results, then you should see a doctor. The question now arises – to which doctor to go with erectile dysfunction? An expert on such cases is a urologist. Detailed diagnostics will be carried out, allowing to determine what form of therapy should be chosen so that the patient returns to full fitness. In the case of more difficult cases, it may be necessary to carry out a procedure to unblock the vessels of the member. The urologist can also choose a form of therapy in the form of injections into the cavernous bodies of the member (injections).

Erectile dysfunction – how can they be prevented?

The occurrence of erectile dysfunction most often occurs when the blood flow to the cavernous bodies of the penis is insufficient. We cannot protect ourselves against this directly, but we can act indirectly. We should start by improving our lifestyle, taking care of proper rest and taking care of our mental health. It will also be helpful to give up stimulants such as cigarettes or alcohol. Regular examinations are also recommended to help us keep our body in optimal condition. Blood pressure, testosterone, sugar level and cholesterol should be constantly tested. The last aspect that is worth paying attention to are erection pills. They will help us not only to temporarily improve our sexual function, but also in the long run will positively affect our sexual activity.
